Cake Mix Cookies

It's been an eventful couple of days here. Geoff was unexpectedly off for the weekend, which was a surprise, but a nice one nonetheless. So, a few of the things I wanted to do were pushed out of the way, but I wasn't about to let one thing go...baking! I've been wanting to bake for a couple of days (hence my post earlier about making shortbread cookies) but wasn't really sure what to make, with limited ingredients and a hungry hubby. I decided to look for a recipe for cake mix cookies, seeing as I have an abundance of these, thanks to sales and my mom.
While I've tried to make this type of cookie before, they didn't turn out right the last time. I don't know if it was the recipe, my oven, me, or the type of cake mix, but it made me a little skeptical about this type of cookie, for sure. Needless to say, after reading this recipe, I decided to give it a whirl.
Here's the recipe! Cake Mix Cookies
For mine, I used a Butter Pecan cake mix by Duncan Hines (Geoff's favourite) and added approximately 3/4 cup of blueberries and 1/4 cup of walnuts. They were a hit:)
